Remember Paul said,
" I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago... such an one caught up to the third heaven.
... (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
How that he was caught up into paradise, and Heard Unspeakable Words, which it is not Lawful for a man to utter." (2 Corinth 12:2-4)
Of the hundreds of prophets in the Bible, only a few were caught up into heaven, and Paul said it was "Unspeakable".
I have only Read the Book written by Colton's dad, Todd Burpo.
Problem #1. Now, here we are getting our theology from a four year old little boy. This boy says that people in heaven can see us down here on the earth, yet the Bible is Silent on this issue.
Problem # 2. Colton told his dad, " Jesus has markers in his hands." His dad asks Colton to show him. Colton then points to the palms of his hands. His dad didn't know that Jesus was not pierced in the palms of his hands, but in the wrist joint, which, scientifically speaking is considered the hand.
Problem #3
I had a terrible dread when I saw the picture of Jesus they put into the book. In the Book, 'Heaven Is for Real' The story of the painter of the picture seemed incredible... even supernatural!...I thought, "Would God provide us a picture of Himself through a little girl (the painter of the picture in the book Colton said was Jesus) whose Mama was an atheist?"
The fact that the mother claimed to be an atheist and the girl was only 4 when she started to see Jesus, seemed to somehow give the story creditability. I remained a skeptic until I looked her up on youtube. Honestly I shouldn't have even considered it, I should have immediately seen the anti-christ in the picture with just this one verse;
Matthew 24:23:
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
She's not even a Christian. She's was supposed to be one at the time of this painting. She tried Christianity, Catholicism, Buddhism etc... She's like, whatever path you find to God is your path. She says that voices speak to her and lately they told her they would stop.
Some professional artists say that the girl has been trained by her parents into this scam. Some even claim the paintings are not hers.
Even if they are and the voices helped her, what do you think would be the first thing she would have painted? The picture of Jesus as portrayed in Heaven is For Real? Right? Wrong! Her first painting was of herself!
If she hears voices, It's satanic.
In conclusion, the Lord is not in this Book.

Certainly, the testimony I saw about how the boy knew details that he was never told nor could have known but knew them because of his visit to heaven line up with what I see in the Bible.
