It appears that we can't send private messages at all or we're doing something wrong. I will check with the support department and see if I can find the answer.

Unfortunately, we can't share private messages at the current time.
Here are two notes that I just received from the support person:
Note 1: You only have the opportunity to send private messages as admins, you can set a question's publishing status to "Private" and then in the admin area you are still able to submit an answer directly to them...and only the asking user can see. You'd have to manage that through the administration area....private messaging is not currently a functionality that we support between peers.
Direct questions are also available, but those are simply public questions that allow users to be sure that a specific expert gets a notification that their expertise has been requested specifically.
Note 2: That may be a feature we support down the road, it is on our "to do" list of features to roll out...just not something I'm able to give you a timeline on right now.
I'm really sorry! The only things I can suggest is that you share your e-mail addresses with one other or send private messages via GodVine's "Profile" page.

I'm not sure how myself. I sent a private message to Chris, at least I thought I did, but he hadn't responded, which tells me that either he hadn't gotten it, or he replied, and I hadn't gotten it, or know how yet.
