Answer Question
Eating pork
I have been seeing quite a few things about that we are not to eat pork. In fact, I have gotten into a discussions about this. During my years since being with God, I have felt no conviction of eating pork. God had shown me quite a few things, but I still know that there are many things I still need to learn. I have read many, many verses that refers to that what enters our bodies (like food) does not make us unclean, but what enters into our hearts, just as Jesus said. Yet, people uses certain scriptures that contradicts that. To be honest, if my roots weren't so rooted in Christ, this would shake my faith enough to where I would say "forget it". All this contradiction is just too hard to make sense out of.
I was recently referred to Isaiah 66:15-24 which more specifically is referring to verse 17. I know that this person is saying that this will be when God judges the earth on the "final day".
I NEED to know your thought on this. I myself had never felt, nor still feel, and convictions about eating pork, or shrimp, though I myself had never been too much on either. I really never cared for any type of fish food, and the only pork I like is sausage. I know I have the Spirit of God in me, and I honestly feel that if He does not want me to eat these foods, then He would have been convicting me of it. But I have felt no conviction on it.
I felt that the Holy Spirit told me was that God's Commandments are being confused with God's Laws. I also felt Him tell me that if we (man) are going to be hung up on one of His Laws, then we should be hung up on all of His laws in Deuteronomy. Which means we should stone children that are contiually disobedient.
Please, when you answer, consider the verses I was referred to, Isaiah 66:15-24
