One of the biggest misunderstandings in my opinion is the belief that a third physical temple needs to be built. What most are yet blinded to is the fact that we are the third temple spoken of in scripture. Scripture tells us that we are a temple, a house of God, and that God will dwell within us, within His temple.
We fail to see this because we have been blinded by the wolves within the church system. By wolves I mean those who do not have the truth, but speak from their carnal knowledge only. This I am sorry to say, is the majority of the denominational leadership.
God no longer wants animal sacrifices or burnt offerings (Hebrews 10:6). By seeking another sacrifice we annul the death of Jesus upon the cross. Was Jesus death in vain?
The true sacrifices now sought by the Lord is our own bodies, the temple that we are. We are lively stones, we will be built up as a spiritual house, a holy priesthood to offer up a spiritual sacrifice, the only kind now acceptable to God (1 Peter 2:5).
All this talk of a third physical temple comes from the mouths of those who do not understand.
