Abraham was not a Jew, nor were any of the children of Israel as a nation called Jews. The nation of Israel split after king Solomon. The word Jew refers to people from the Southern kingdom of Judah. So up until that point, the word Jew did not exist.
So all people in the NT that are from a tribe are from the Southern Kingdom of Judah.
The people of the northern kingdom became known as the Samaritans because the Northern kingdom merged with the Syrians and other gentiles, so they are no longer considered Israelites, nor were considered God's chosen people by Jesus.
With this established we can safely say that the 144,000 are distinct in the Book of Revelation with the title of 144,000 of the 12 Tribes.
Just as God's Wrath is about to be poured out upon the earth, there are 144,000 of the tribes of Israel marked on the earth. There two possible schools of thought where the 144,000 come from:
1. Most people think that God knows who among the Jews are of true Israelite nature and which tribe each belong to. They are referred to as the firstfruits of the coming 1000 year reign of Christ.
2. Because the The 144,000 are from the 12 tribes, some think that the 144,000 are Old Testament Saints from the 12 Tribes of Israel, because today it is impossible to track down the tribes. These are also referred to as the firstfruits. By doing a word study we find that firstfruits refer to the beginning of a harvest. We find that the NT Stephanas is referred to as the first fruit of Christ in the city of Achaia (1 corinth 16:15). So these could be a firstfruits of the Children of Israel that were out in the desert who believe in the promises of Abraham and the Commandment given to Moses, and who followed Joshua into Canaan.
It is interesting to note that the tribe of Dan and Ephraim are omitted from the chosen of the 144,000. In their place stand Joseph and Manasses.
But both Dan and Ephraim will have a place in the 1000 year reign (Eze 48:1,6). This is why I tend to agree with the second school of thought. Because there are two witnesses that are OT saints in Revelation, I do not find it so incredible that God would also use 144,000 OT saints as well. It does not matter to me where people say the 144,000 come from as long as it stays within the confines of what the Scriptures teach, so the people that teach they are of the 144,000, is a cultish false teaching.
Regardless of where they come from, it is certain that they are servants of God (Rev 7:3) and have a purpose during the time of God's Wrath. They are Firstfruits of the twelve tribes of Israel, and are Virgin MALES. (Rev 14:4)

But the people of the northern tribes, the house of Israel, did not become the Samaritans, because the people of the tribes of Israel, or nation of Israel were taken away and placed in another part of the world. Assyria, which conquered and removed the house of Israel, then brought in other peoples to populate the area that was left vacant by the nation of Israel. This is why the Jews hated the Samaritans.
Yes, it is true that a few Israelites were brought back to deal with the woes in the land after the nation of Israel was deported, but the nation as a whole did not return.
It is also not true that the nation of Israel was inbreed, eliminated, or merged with any other people’s, this is all speculation as there is no proof what so ever for this line of thinking. Most pastors which I have spoken to on the subject believe in the above scenario, which proves to me that they have not studied the subject.
The nation of Judah had a role to play because God had assigned them a mandate. The mandate of the nation of Judah was to bring forth the Scepter, or the King, and they did this in bringing forth Jesus, our Lord and King.
The nation of Israel also had a mandate from God, and that was to bring forth the Kingdom. This has not yet been done, so we look to the future for this event to happen. This also means that the old nation of Israel (not the current nation calling itself Israel), still have a part to play at the end of this age.
The prophesies concerning the tribes of Joseph in scripture are the prophesies of the old nation of Israel. Joseph had two son, Ephraim and Manasseh. As Ephraim was elevated above his brother at the blessing of Jacob in chapter 48 of Genesis, Ephraim replaces Joseph in title and Manasseh was reduce below Ephraim, even though he was the firstborn. These two were prophesied to be a company of nations and a great nation.
History, archeology and scripture have now given us conclusive proof that the ten tribes of Israel did migrate into Europe to become the nations of Europe of today. Ephraim was prophesied to become a company of nations, and they did in the current nation of Great Britain. GB is the only nation which became known as a company of nations with their commonwealth system around the world, including Canada, India, South America, Australia and even the United States.
But it was the brother Manasseh which was to become a great nation, and the greatest nation ever upon the earth to date has been the United Sates of America. Scripture tells us that most will be blinded to this fact until the end times, and indeed they are. For it has been prophesied upon them that they would forget who they were, that they would not call themselves God’s people. But we are also told that in the end times they will awaken to this truth and then become known as God’s people.
The United States is the regathering place of the 12 tribes of Israel, as the US is the only nation which has accepted all peoples from around the world, and especially from the nations of Europe some 200 years ago. The current nation which calls itself Israel has usurped the name of Israel, and they have spent much time and money in leading the current church system astray as to their true identity. We are still to love them as this was their lot in life, this was part of their job in the world.
So the 144,000 people whom scripture calls the overcomers, or the saints of God, are to come out of this group of people. Both GB and the US are of the tribe of Joseph, and they are indeed brothers, so it will be through them that the blessings of the nations come from.
But this blessing of the nations will not take place until the collapse of the current monetary system is in full throttle. For it is my belief that God our Father will/has started the collapse of Mystery Babylon (US Dollar and banking system/governments), but it will be the coming of the sons of God (144,000) which will complete the process. It is this system of banks and governments which has imprisoned God’s people, and God will bring this system down and free His people.
