Concerning Facebook, if it was me, I'd actually create both "page" AND "group". This way the word is being spread in either direction. As for the paragraph, I think that would be a good idea. In order to attract attention to something, people will have to know what that "thing" has to offer.

I created a Facebook page called "Mansion in Heaven - Gospel Tracts, Prayer Requests, Christian Advice." Hopefully, people who are searching for one or more of those words or phrases will be able to find my page and will post a comment and/or click on the link to visit my website.

Hagios has created a new website...http://john14-6.webs.com/...he has a link to this site on it as well. I would choose to do a group. They pop up as suggested sites you may like on the right side of your home page. this would create more exposure. it would be refreshing to see a good Christian group. I have been checking out quite a few and none of them are to my liking..or not what I am looking for.

Thanks for letting me know about the new website that Hagios has created. I knew he was working on updating it, but I thought that he was going to let me know when it was ready. I really appreciate his kindness in adding a link to this site.
In regard to Facebook, I've been reading about the differences between pages and groups and have been checking the results for various search terms, and I think that, in this case, a "page" would be better. However, I've never used Facebook before, so I have another question: Would it be all right to have a paragraph at the top telling people about all the things available on my website and providing a link to it?

I do not see why not
