Although it is possible, there are other clues in scripture that suggest he may not be so likely to be the one.
The antichrist, as we call him, is more likely to be Muslim or have close ties with Islam.
The relationship with the pope and mention of peace treaty with Israel are definitely interesting keys that cannot be discounted though.
Ultimately, we will just have to sit back and watch and see, time will tell...
