This wedding feast represents the kingdom of God.
The only way to get in to the kingdom of God as Jesus pointed out in John 3 is to be born again.
Our newborn spirit is said to be clothed in righteousness. I understand the wedding garment to be the new born spirit which is clothed in righteousness and created in righteousness and true holiness according to Eph 4:24.
Understanding that, I believe that Jesus is pointing out to those religious leaders that though they think they are in the kingdom or can get into the kingdom by their religious works, it is only those who have been clothed with the wedding garments that truly can get in and all else will be cast out into Hell if they don't receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
I believe that man can represent the religious Jew or even anyone who goes to church and believes that they are good enough to be accepted in to heaven even though they have not received Christ as Savior and Lord.
