Answer Question
Does the behavior of Christians prevent some people from getting saved?
As most of you know, Robin Williams was a comedian who suffered from alcoholism and depression and recently committed suicide. During a special about his life on "Entertainment Tonight," they played a skit that he once did about heaven during a "Comic Relief" fundraiser for homeless people. Here's what he said:
"They pitch signs that say, 'You will not get into the kingdom of heaven,' and I look at these geeks and go, 'Are you gonna be there? ...
I'm not goin'!"
(Note: I'm not sure that the words "pitch" and "geeks" are correct.)
Of course, nobody except Robin and God know if he got saved before he died, but the above quote shows how people can react in a negative way to our good intentions. Apparently, it's not only what we, as Christians, don't do (such as witnessing and soul winning) but how we act (what we say and do) that helps to send people to hell.
